Believer in possibilities – Teller of stories – Lover of silly puns

Hey, I’m Melie, and I’m obsessed with audiobooks.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been reading since I was two, maybe it’s because I’m in love with great stories, or maybe it’s because I can’t help but voice dialogue out loud when reading to myself…but I absolutely love opening the pages of a new manuscript and helping authors bring their words to life.

As an audiobook narrator, I believe my job is to tell a story in the most authentic way possible. Whether I’m working on a sweet romance, a self-help nonfiction, or a psychological thriller. That also means having a lot of fun in the process.

I came to audiobooks from a background in both traditional acting, and editorial.

I’ve been told my superpower is in connecting with the story, and bringing dialogue to life.

My MA in English – Creative Writing, and my work as an editor, have both given me a deep appreciation for the written word. I also understand the creative process authors go through to bring their book babies into the world. I love nothing more than immersing myself in a story and living it out through my voice in the booth.

I have a broadcast quality home studio, and am available in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego regions for in-studio work.

– I’ve edited many novels including romances, mysteries, and nonfiction.

– I wrote and co-produced a comedy web series called Hello Realtor that featured Creed Bratton from The Office.
